This trail follows the Truckee River fairly closely for a number of miles - we did a couple of them before returning to the car. The sound of the water was fantastic, and the air was cool.

Trains came and went on the tracks on the far side of the river. Tracks follow the river for dozens of miles, to well East of Reno.
