Incline Peak via Third Creek - Nevada

This was a very difficult hike, as the trail was not documented and we wound up doing the last several hundred feet of the ascent to the top by offroading. After we arrived at the top, we were able to locate a true trail that made the descent much more pleasant. The victory pose at the top was well earned.

The map on AllTrails didn't show the trail correctly in red. We took the Incline Road trail around the lake to the left, then crossed the stream and latched onto the Third Creek trail to the junction with the blue line. There is an undocumented trail from the blue trail to the top of the peak, which we only found on the way down.

This stream was only 10 or so minutes into the hike. It was beautiful, and I think Lora could have stayed here all day listening to the water. It's places like these that make these hikes worthwhile - the sound of water over rocks and the smell of pine and wildflowers is truly special.

The climb was ~1300 feet up in total from the parking area at the trailhead. It was hard work, but the view was spectacular.
