One of the most magical hikes last year was one of the earliest, a trip to Spooner Lake when the aspens were turning for the winter. We went back today, and it was as pretty as the first time.

Incline Flume near Tyrolian Ridge - Incline Village, NV
We returned to the Incline Flume trail today, one we visited December of last year. This time there's only a bit of snow on the ground, and the aspens are turning to gold.
Tahoe is visible on this hike, but only if you take the trail far enough. We had to coordinate this with a hike for Lilli's school, so the bigger views will have to wait. We're already planning on returning to the area tomorrow.
